About Us



Bookworm Central mission is to review and promote high quality books and educational materials, distribute them through programs that inspire and motivate learners, and enable participating organizations to promote literacy while raising or saving money.




These include onsite book fairs, online book fairs, educational game fairs, educational game flyer program, summer reading program, teacher wishlist programs, and other special events such as author signings, book clubs, and book giveaways to classrooms and/or libraries.

Literacy Programs

Created, piloted, or supported the following literacy programs at local Northern Virginia schools:
FLIP (First-graders Love Independent Practice)
RISE (Read in Summer and Excel)
REDI (Read Each Day Independently)
SOAR (STEM Out And Read)
RIF (Reading Is Fun)

Special Services

We are happy to assist you in:
Building collections of educational games to create Strategy Labs that support curriculum in different subject areas
Identifying books and resources to support STE(A)M education at different grade levels
Identifying books and materials to support Foreign Language Programs
Supporting classroom curricula with supplemental resources
Building classroom collections by reading level
Identifying high interest/low reading level titles for remedial programs
Creating hardback and paperback collections to revitalize reading rooms and libraries after annual weeding
Identifying resources for SACC programs
